Known as Ant or Tony, he began training at Ealing Karate Club (Elkai Karate) in 1986 under Sensei’s Peter Harris and Henry Francis. Tony has been a member of this club from age 7 and has now become one of its most influential senior members. Tony progressed through his grades, skipping belts on occasions and obtaining his Black Belt at aged 13, at the time, the club’s youngest Dan grade.
Tony has represented his Club, Borough, Association, and Country. Tony has won many competitions with his strong discipline on Kata. Tony’s kata abilities won him a consecutive year-on-year title at open and association tournaments.
Tony has also been the one performing the teaching aid on the club’s kata videos. His extensive knowledge comes from years of courses instructed by (Association head Sensei’s Peter Spanton 9th Dan and other leading kata experts of the England squad) Tony was also one of the club’s youngest independent instructors who continue to instruct today.
